Anna Edey has a vision for better housing options for Vineyard seniors, and she will share them on Thursday, March 3 at 7 p.m. at the Vineyard Playhouse.

Ms. Edey envisions a senior community with private independent cottages, a commons with an indoor swimming pool, and a staff that lives onsite. Residents could garden and cook, and an organic farm with an energy self-sufficient Solviva greenhouse would produce most of the food year-round.

Ms. Edey said the community would be a model for secure, luxurious living that causes little pollution and reduces the cost of living. A property suited for the project is on the market and an investor would be needed to buy it, she said.
