Nine-month-old black stray kitten Eloise from Franklin street in Vineyard Haven has been spayed and joined the residents of the cat room. She is really keeping the other residents on their toes with her playful antics. This teenager is a real fur ball of fun and quite affectionate as well.
Still in the cat room hoping for new homes are 12-year-old tuxedo Maryanne, who is extremely affectionate, 11-year-old white and black male Chaps, and our elderly orange gentleman Milo. Adoption fees will be waived for all three of these older residents. Also residing in the cat room is the beautiful seven-year-old Russian Blue Lola, with the softest fur. She could not be sweeter or more playful and would love to share her life with that special family. And then there is five-year-old tuxedo Lyle. He is also a real lover but might prefer to be your one and only.
Max, the 15-month-old Labrador retriever/hound mix is still looking for a home. He is well trained, affectionate and good with other dogs and cats, but fearful of young children. He is staying with his family until a new home can be found, so please contact the shelter if you would like to meet this sweet boy.
Is there an angel out there willing to adopt Casper? He is an 11-year-old cat looking for someone to care for him as he was thought to be diabetic. Right now we believe it’s possible that he actually may not be diabetic since he is holding his own without insulin. He is free to anyone willing to give him a good home.
