Calling all cats and dogs (and, of course, their owners): the annual rabies clinic will take place April 2.

The clinic takes places in two locations. Up-Island pets can be taken to the Public Safety Building, 452 State Road in West Tisbury, from 10 a.m. to noon for vaccinations from Michelle Jasny, VMD and SeaBreese Veterinary Services staff.

Down-Island the clinic will be held at the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard, 1 Pennywise Path in Edgartown, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vineyard Veterinary, Caring for Animals, and C. Elizabeth Buck, VMD will be vaccinating in one-hour shifts.

The cost is $20 per animal and the vaccine is good for one year. Dogs must be leashed and all cats and ferrets must be in carriers.
