Well, I thought I saw Noah’s Ark going by this week after all the rain but I could not be sure because it was snowing too hard! Then it got so cold I thought about buying Christmas presents, except the tulips and daffodils are still blooming. What a week it was.

Happy birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Matthew Strem and Kasey Varkonda, who celebrated their day April 2; Gregory Pyden on April 4; Nicholas Silva on April 5; Tristan Purington on April 7; and to Mauricio Sampaio, who celebrates his day April 8.

Put the plants in, put the plants out, now put them back in. It is a big deal when you are dealing with the weather and trying to keep plants alive, but Mother Nature is testing the flower lovers.

Between the weather and post office closing, the town has been buzzing. But the only thing you can say is we have no control of either. We can’t do anything about the weather, and we can’t change what happened at the post office. It is not the employees’ fault so we should have a little patience with them and hope the whole situation is solved as quickly as possible.

I was channel surfing the other night and stumbled upon channel 298 on Comcast, which is the channel for old game shows. I was in heaven. I love game shows and watching the old ones like Tattletales and Card Sharks is good but my favorite nostalgic shows are What’s my Line and To Tell the Truth. It took me back to Sunday nights as my parents rushed through the nightly meal and cleaning to get ready for Ed Sullivan and then the game shows.

I laugh as I can still hear them talking about Arlene Francis and Dorothy Kilgallen, and how they were dressed and how they stared at the contestants. I could not figure out what they were talking about then but now I think back and chuckle to myself.
