The Tisbury School honored several students in fifth through eighth grades at the school’s annual Recognition Day on June 14.

The Jeffrey T. Goodale Memorial Award went to fifth grader Joshua Smith, while the Dorothy Larkosh Roberts Award was given to sixth grader Braedyn Clark. The Rose Anthony Award for Achievement in Literary Arts was awarded to seventh grader Jackson Wojnowski.

In honors for the eighth grade class, the Kerry Alley Humanitarian Award went to Taylor Hughes, the Eugene W. Baer Creative Arts Award to Kya Maloney, the James Norton Technology Award to Keats Brown, Jesse Caseau, Matthew Medeiros and Henry Warner, the Maurice Bresnahan School Service Award to Anne Culbert, the Fred Glodis Science Award to Molly Carroll, and the Michael Ovios Golden Hammer Award to Emanuel Da Silva.

Thirty-one eighth grade students graduated from the Tisbury School on June 15. The principal’s award was presented during graduation to Peter Burke and Julia Dostal.

Retiring staff members Lori DeBettencourt, MaryEllen McElroy, Kim Moore, and Marsha Shufrin were also honored at the graduation ceremony.
