Nathaniel Nashamoies Landon Peters and Barbara Jane Sloan were married on June 4 at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Stowe, Vt.

The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Marjorie Sloan of Carmel, Ind. The bridegroom is the son of Eric L. Peters of Vineyard Haven and Elizabeth C. Peters of Cambridge.

The Rev. Brian Daley, S.J., the Catherine F. Huisking professor of theology at the University of Notre Dame, celebrated the nuptial Mass. The Revs. Benedict Kiely, Vincent Druding and Kevin Staley-Joyce concelebrated. John Robinson, director of music at the Church of St. Paul, Cambridge, directed the choir. A reception followed in the wedding meadow at the Trapp Family Lodge.

Mr. and Mrs. Peters are both completing doctorates in theology, he at Boston College and she at Marquette University. They will live in Milwaukee, Wisc.

Nathaniel grew up in Edgartown, and is the grandson of Florence L. Peters and the late Landon Peters, of Pohogonot and Short Point, and Princeton, N.J. He is the great-grandson of John W. Lamborn and Anna Flynn Lamborn, of Chilmark and Montclair, N.J., and Emily Meyer Peters, of Edgartown and Montclair, N.J.
