Author Andrew Cohen will visit the Vineyard next week for a talk titled Two Days in June: JFK and the 48 Hours that Made History, an event hosted by The Martha’s Vineyard Museum and the JFK Hyannis Museum.

Mr. Cohen, a journalism professor at Carleton University in Ottawa, will explore two speeches President Kennedy gave in June 1963 about nuclear arms and civil rights, issues that dominated the country and still resonate today.

Poet, writer and human rights activist Rose Styron will moderate the talk.

The event takes place Thursday, July 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Federated Church in Edgartown. Admission is $15, or $35 for patron tickets that include a catered reception and meet and greet with Mr. Cohen and Ms. Styron. For patron tickets or more information call 508-627-4441 extension 119 or e-mail events@mvmuseum.org.
