Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee for president, will be visiting Martha’s Vineyard on August 20 for a fundraiser in Edgartown.

According to Mrs. Clinton’s campaign website, the former Secretary of State will be on hand for a summer reception from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Edgartown home of Carol and Frank Biondi, longtime seasonal residents and Clinton supporters.

Mrs. Clinton’s scheduled stop on the Vineyard will coincide with the last few days of President Obama’s annual summer vacation on the Vineyard. The President’s two-week visit is scheduled to end on Sunday, August 21. Mrs. Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, are frequent summer visitors to the Vineyard  dating back to their days in the White House.

The Martha’s Vineyard event is one of several planned receptions for Mrs. Clinton in the area. Earlier in the day on August 20, she will attend a reception at the Nantucket home of former Ambassador Elizabeth Frawley Bagley. On Sunday, August 21 Mrs. Clinton is scheduled to attend a fundraiser in Provincetown (with special guest Cher) followed by a dinner reception in Osterville on Cape Cod.

As the President arrives on the Vineyard this weekend, Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump is scheduled to be in the area as well, attending a fundraiser this Saturday, August 6, at the Nantucket home of Terri and Ron Weinberg. Saturday night, Mr. Trump will reportedly attend a fundraiser at the home of businessman Bill Koch and his wife Bridget in Osterville.
