On Sunday, August 21, David Crohan will regale his Island fans with an evening of classical music at the Chilmark Community Center. Joining him will be the world-renowned cellist, Joel Krosnick, a two-time Grammy winner and member of the Juilliard String Quartet for the past 42 years.

“This will be one of the most exciting concerts of my career,” Mr. Crohan said in a press release this week.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Sunday; music begins at 7:30 p.m. The event is a benefit for Island Elderly Housing and radio station WMVY.

Advance tickets are available at TicketsMV.com, and at Pandora’s Box in Menemsha. The cost is $40 for adults and $15 for children. Tickets at the door cost $50.
