The National Weather Service will visit the Vineyard on Sept. 7 to host a free storm spotter training session.

Storm spotters learn how to identify signs of severe weather and become a part of the spotter network that provides observations to the weather service and emergency management.

The class will take place at the Edgartown Public Library at 5:30 p.m. on the 7th. For more information contact stephanie.dunten@noaa.gov.
