Dukes Academy real estate school has sold its classroom education division to real estate attorney Erik Hammarlund.

Owner and lead instructor Robert Sawyer said in a press release this week that there will be a seamless transition as Mr. Hammarlund, who operates Academy of MV, takes over class instruction.

The state-licensed school helps students pass licensing exams, begin real estate careers, or renew licenses through licensing and continuing education courses.

Mr. Sawyer said the turnover will be completed by the end of October and licensing classes are scheduled to begin Oct. 18. The academy is also expanding its online education division.

Mr. Hammarlund has taught courses at Dukes Academy for several years and holds state brokers and real estate instruction licenses.
