Time to kick-up the heels of your riding boots for Rising Tide Therapeutic Center’s fall fundraiser.
The barn burner for a good cause takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Sailing Camp Park in Oak Bluffs. The Mike Benjamin Band will provide the dancing music, and Oak Bluffs Fish Market will supply a local raw bar.
A raffle and silent auction will feature a variety of items, including a wampum horse pendant, propane gift certificates, prints from Island photographers, and a fishing rod.
Tickets are $50, available at the door or at 508-693-1185.
Proceeds go to support Rising Tide and their mission: using horses and therapy horse riding to help improve the quality of life for children and adults with emotional, mental, or physical disabilities. The center in West Tisbury aims to accommodate anyone who wishes to ride one of their horses.
Rising Tide instructors are certified through Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International.
