The Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society has announced the appointment of Douglas Finn as its new executive director. Mr. Finn succeeds Jane Coakley, who assumed the post in 2011. Mr. Finn has a varied background in education and administration. Prior to moving to the Vineyard, he was executive director and interim town administrator for the town of Deerfield. He is a composer and has written dozens of original compositions. He is married to Beckie Scotten, who was raised on the Vineyard. They live in West Tisbury.

The chamber music society’s Thanksgiving concert will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown.
