Paula Lyons, a retired broadcast journalist and well-known Vineyard Haven resident will be inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame this week.
Ms. Lyons was a nationally recognized consumer reporter for more than two decades. Among other things, she was the consumer editor for WBZ-TV in Boston, hosting the show Lyons on the Lookout and covering consumer issues in New England. Prior to that she was consumer editor for ABC’s Good Morning America; she also worked for WCVB, Channel 5 television in Boston.
She has been a contributing writer on consumer issues for Ladies’ Home Journal and is a regular panelist with her husband, the journalist Arnie Reisman on National Public Radio’s weekly comedy quiz show Says You.
She has won numerous awards through the years.
At a luncheon on Thursday this week, Ms. Lyons will be honored and inducted into the hall of fame, along with 11 others.
Ms. Lyons is currently a contributing writer to The Vine, a lifestyle publication of the Vineyard Gazette Media Group. In the fall Home and Garden issue, she interviews John Murphy of Tracker Home Decor.
