Lauren Petkus of West Tisbury and Marc V-Brosseau of Gatineau, Quebec, were married on Sept. 24 at Black Point beach in Chilmark.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is a designer at Rachel Reiders Interiors in Boston. The bridegroom is a graduate of Carleton University in California and works in Innovation Footwear Design at Reebok in Canton.

Lauren is the daughter of Ceclia McCarthy of West Tisbury and Ken Petkus of Chilmark. She is the step-daughter of Alan Northcott of West Tisbury and granddaughter of John and Elizabeth Petkus and William and Elizabeth McCarthy.

Marc is the son of Edith Veillette and Gaetan Brosseau of Gatineau, Quebec.

The ceremony was performed by the bride’s brother Adam Petkus. The beautiful wedding cake was the creation of the bridegroom’s sister Elyse V-Brosseau.

The weather was spectacular, possibly the most beautiful day of the fall. The wedding was attended by guests from near and far. It was phenomenal.

The couple will live in Boston’s South End.
