Is anyone in the vicinity of Lambert’s Cove Road in West Tisbury missing a sweetheart of a tuxedo kitten? She is approximately eight months old and has half a milk moustache. She arrived at the shelter as a stray on Oct. 4. If you think she may be your missing kitten please contact the shelter.
Current cat room female residents include our atypically friendly tortoiseshell and calico, Doris, who is three, and Lacey who is eight. Both these girls come when called and love attention. Lacey definitely wants to be the center of attention and comes to greet everyone. And Cee Cee is our stunning lady with long black fur tipped with silver. She is a really beautiful cat, and is still young at the age of seven.
The boys in the cat room are the two young buff and white males, Lefty and ZZ. Lefty is a large boy who loves to play. He has a warm purr and is looking for love. ZZ is very sweet. He has a shy, gentle nature but loves to be held and pet. He would be a super addition to a family with young children.
Also available for adoption is our lobby cat, Chaps, an 11-year-old large white male with black markings. He’s a bit standoffish but comes around after a while. Stop in and meet him to see if you fall in love.
There is also a lovely 11-year-old dachshund looking for a new home. His name is Guapo and he is very, very sweet. Please contact the shelter if you would like to meet this gentleman.
Shelter hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The shelter is closed Sunday and Monday. The telephone number is 508-627-8662.
