The annual Martha’s Vineyard CROP walk takes place this Sunday, Oct. 23, beginning at 2 p.m. at St. Augustine’s Church in Vineyard Haven. The walk heads out to Trinity Church in Oak Bluffs and back again. Walkers are invited to join in on any amount of the journey, a short hop or the whole way. The cause is to fight hunger around the world and at home.

The CROP walk is sponsored by Church World Service and began in 1969. This is the 26th year for the Martha’s Vineyard CROP walk, and over the years the local community has raised close to half a million dollars.
