The Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation has announced changes to its grant application process and time frames, including a change from one to three opportunities per year for its core programs and services grants.

The foundation focuses on communities where Tower family members have lived, worked and raised their children, including Erie and Niagara Counties in New York and Barnstable, Dukes, Essex, and Nantucket counties in Massachusetts. The revised approach will offer a shorter, streamlined process and a higher level of engagement with the Tower Foundation staff. The first opportunity to submit a grant request in 2017 will be in January and then again in May and August. The total time from submission through award will be halved, from six months to three months under the new guidelines.
