As a Halloween treat, Mocha Motts in Oak Bluffs plans to reopen on Monday, Oct. 31, said co-owner Tim Dobel.

“After the horror of what we’ve been through it seemed fitting to open on Halloween,” he said.

Mocha Motts has been a fixture on Circuit avenue for 22 years, one that is open all year long. But the popular coffee spot had to close down last February when a burst pipe flooded the building. Original estimates had the caffeine train running again in time for the summer season but delays kept pushing the opening date back. But on Monday, longtime barista Scotty Hershowitz will once again be at his station, helping to give the community his friendly wake up call.
