An Edgartown man was sentenced to serve time in jail for a September vandalism spree that included setting brush fires, breaking into homes and vandalizing gravestones in Oak Bluffs.
Benjamin D. Fogg, 33, pleaded guilty on Nov. 4 in Edgartown district court to two counts of setting fire to another’s land, one count of burning a motor vehicle, three counts of breaking and entering for a misdemeanor, seven counts of vandalizing a gravestone, and three counts of vandalizing property.
Mr. Fogg was sentenced to serve two and a half years in a house of correction, and will be placed on probation after his release until November 2021. He was also ordered to remain alcohol free with screens, to complete substance abuse evaluation and any treatment as recommended, to pay a $90 victim/witness assessment fee and a monthly probation services fee after release.
