Kittens, kittens, kittens. The shelter is overflowing with kittens of all ages!

We have a gorgeous orange and white Manx cat and her four five-week-old kittens. Momma’s name is Jasper. She’s under a year old and loves to snuggle. And her babies are just beautiful. Two are Manx like their mom, an orange kitten were calling Dallas, and the calico is Deena. The other two kittens are both female and have tails. The black and gray tabby is called Denver and her sister, the tabby/torti, is Dorito.

We also have a number of older teenage kittens that just arrived on Wednesday and are still being assessed as to their temperaments. First up is a 16-week-old female tabby called Winky. Sharing a cage with her is a 10-week-old tabby with lots of white and a white spot on his back called Spot, and a six-month-old male tabby named Hugo. In another cage are two more females, a five-month-old light tabby with white nose and paws named Sunny, and a stunning nine-month-old long hair tabby we’re calling Princess Grace. Nine-month-old tuxedo female Mary is a pretty girl with a half milk moustache who arrived at the shelter as a stray from Lambert’s Cove. If you are interested in a kitten please contact the shelter to have your name added to the kitten list.

Things in the cat room are ever evolving. Cee Cee, the beautiful female with long black silver-tipped fur is now residing in the condo. She is still young and playful at the age of seven. Our very friendly three-year-old tortoiseshell, Doris, likes spending her time up high on the cat couch. And the special needs calico, Lacey, just wants affection and loves being the center of attention. She is only eight years old, very pretty, and her special needs can be handled very simply.

The boys in the cat room are the two young buff and white males Lefty and ZZ. Lefty is a large boy who loves to play. He is four, has a warm purr, and is looking for love. ZZ is a very sweet three year old. He has a shy, gentle nature but loves to be held and pet. He would be a super addition to a family with young children.

Lunar, a ten-year-old Husky, came in and went within a day. Congratulations to both parties. There is also a lovely 11-year-old black and tan dachshund looking for a new home. His name is Guapo and he is very sweet. Please contact the shelter if you would like to meet this gentleman.

Also available for adoption is our lobby cat, Chaps, an large 11-year-old white male with black markings. He’s a bit standoffish but comes around after a while, and does like his petting. Stop in and meet him to see if you fall in love.
