Is anyone in the vicinity of Teaberry Lane in Edgartown missing a female Siamese cat? Lila, as we’re calling her, was surrendered as a stray on Nov. 15. She is very vocal and quite affectionate. Please contact the shelter if you think she may be your missing pet.

We have some other new feline arrivals. Spiderman is a gray and white male with a wonderful disposition. He loves to be held and pet, is a lap cat and gets along with dogs. Also available is a very handsome Siamese mix, with beautiful blue eyes, who is three years old. He goes by Mateo.

The other news of the week is that the atypical calico, Lacey, has been adopted. Wishing many years of happiness to everyone involved.

The gorgeous orange and white female Manx cat, Jasper, has been spayed and will soon be ready to find her forever home. She’s under a year old, and loves to snuggle. Her six-week old kittens are just beautiful, and thriving. Two are Manx like their mom, an orange cat called Dallas, and a calico, Deena. The two other kittens are both female and have tails. The black and gray tabby is Denver and her sister, the tabby/torti, is Dorito.

The older, teenage kittens that arrived last week are still being assessed as to their temperaments. First up is a 16-week-old female tabby called Winky. Sharing a cage with her is the 10-week-old male tabby with lots of white and a white spot on his back called Spot In the cat condo is a six-month-old male tabby named Hugo, and a five-month-old light tabby with white nose and paws named Sunny. Princess Grace, the stunning nine-month-old long-haired tabby, is purring away. She loves attention and snuggling and just joined the crew in the cat room.

Another older kitten is nine-month-old tuxedo Mary. She is a pretty girl with a half milk moustache who arrived at the shelter as a stray from Lambert’s Cove. If you are interested in a kitten please contact the shelter to have your name added to the kitten list.

The rest of the crew in the cat room includes two young, buff and white males, Lefty and ZZ. Lefty is a large, playful, affectionate boy. He is four, has a warm purr, and is looking for someone to love. ZZ is a very sweet three-year-old. He has a shy, gentle nature but loves to be held and pet. He would be a super addition to a family with young children. The very friendly three-year-old tortoiseshell, Doris, likes spending her time up high on the cat couch but also likes greeting people for pets. Lastly is lovely Cee Cee. She is a frosted tip female, with long black silver-tipped fur, and is still young and playful at seven years of age.

And last, but definitely not least, is our charming lobby cat, Chaps, an 11-year-old large white male with striking black markings. He’s a bit standoffish but comes around after a while, and does like his petting. Stop in and meet him to see if you fall in love.
