Happy needs a home! He is an elderly beagle mix, cute as a button, and his name describes him to a T. Please contact the shelter if you are interested in this sweet boy. Due to his advanced age his adoption fee will be waived. And dachshund Guapo is out on a trial run. Fingers crossed for this lovely boy.

Say hello to Lefty. — Alison L. Mead

There have been a number of cat adoptions in the past few weeks. All of the teenage kittens have found their forever homes, as have both Spiderman and Mateo. And all of Jasper’s kittens have also gone to their new homes, and Jasper is out on a trial visit as well. Wishing everyone lifetimes of happiness.

A new resident who has just joined the crew in the cat room: a stunning, nine years young lilac point Siamese named Simon. Although he is quite vocal, he is an absolute love. For him nothing is better than sitting in a lap, gazing into someone’s eyes, and purring away. There must be a Siamese lover out there for this wonderful boy.

Lefty, the large, buff and white four-year-old male, is now spending time in the lobby with his buddy Chaps. Chaps is 11 with very striking white and black markings. Either would be a great addition to any home.

Biding their time in the cat room, waiting for someone to love, is the 10-month-old tuxedo Mary. She is very sweet and a tad on the shy side. Cee Cee is a beautiful frosted-tip female, seven years of age. Doris is our friendly three-year-old tortoiseshell. She has a lovely personality and is quite affectionate. And watching everyone from his special spot is ZZ, the four-year-old white and buff male. He is a gentle soul and would make an excellent family pet.

Also looking for a home is a very friendly male white rabbit. Since he arrived as a stray just before Thanksgiving he has been named Macy.

Lastly, we’d like to invite everyone to join us for the Edgartown Christmas Parade on Dec. 10. Please call the shelter for details.
