For 15 years the Peter H. Luce Play Readers have been meeting every Wednesday at the Vineyard Haven Senior Center from 9 a.m. to noon to read plays of every era and of every genre, from Shakespeare to Shaw, Neil Simon to Ibsen and Albee. And then on rare occasions the group goes public and invites a crowd to come hear them read. The next show is Sunday, Jan. 22 at 5:30 p.m. when the group performs a series of staged readings at the Vineyard Haven Public Library.

The plays include two one-act plays by Christopher Durang: Death Comes to Us All, Mary Agnes, and The Actor’s Nightmare. The show is free.
