Miracles do happen. A gentleman came into the shelter looking for a teacup Chihuahua at the same time that a young German shepherd was being surrendered. As a former shepherd owner it was love at first sight for both parties and a match was made. Congratulations to all.

The residents of the shelter are all huge football fans and are very excited that the Patriots are headed to the Super Bowl. All are wishing for new homes by Super Bowl Sunday so they can enjoy the game. Unfortunately there isn’t a television here for the residents to watch.

The biggest fans are the three male cats. At 11 Chaps has been a fan the longest. He is white with striking black markings and a calm demeanor, so he won’t be putting his two cents in during the game. He would be happy just hanging out with you on the sofa. His buddy Lefty looks like a buff and white line backer. This big boy is only four and he loves to play. He enjoys being outside as well as in, and wouldn’t mind watching the game with other pets that are also fans. The other male, Percy, is also four, is gray and white, and has a charming personality. However he is not a party animal and would prefer to watch the game with only human companions.

The shelter also has a couple of female fans. One-year-old Mary is a tuxedo feline with very long legs and a svelte body. Her dream is to grow up and become a cheerleader. Although not very vocal she has all the right moves and wants to be in a home where she can fully show her support for her team. Her roommate, Tiger Lily, isn’t as much of a fan. She would rather have your attention focused on her. She is five years old, tabby and white, and a little on the plump side. She’s a real lover with a winning personality.

We would also like to let everyone know that we are accepting donations of any type of jewelry to be used for the annual garden party recycled jewelry sale.
