Three Island college students will receive $1,000 scholarships through Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce Jim Lambert Memorial Scholarship.

The 2017 recipients are Gabriella Hoxsie of Edgartown, who is studying psychology, communications and human resources at Boston College; Avery Lazes of Vineyard Haven, who is studying music therapy at Berklee College of Music; and Mikayla Tinus of Edgartown, who is studying biomedical engineering at Brown University.

The scholarships are awarded through the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce Charitable Fund, with money raised at the chamber’s annual Breakfast with Santa event at the Wharf Pub.
