The Federated Church in Edgartown is hosting a Mardi Gras potluck party on Wednesday, Feb. 28. The party is free, just bring some food to share. The party starts at 5 p.m.

Then on Wednesday, March 1, the church is hosting a brief service of prayer and the offering of ashes for Ash Wednesday, to mark the beginning of Lent. The service starts at noon.

The Federated Church is located at 45 South Summer street in Edgartown. All faiths are welcome.
