The Peter Luce Play Readers are taking on The Mousetrap this Saturday, March 11, a murder mystery play written by Agatha Christie. John Brannen directs the show at the Vineyard Playhouse, which is a big responsibility as the play has very deep roots. In premiered in London in 1952 and had its 25,000th performance in 2012. In other words, it is very popular.
The play reading group was started by Peter Luce and this year is the group’s 20th anniversary. They meet every Wednesday, year-round, to hold dramatic readings and discuss top notch plays. And occasionally they go public and perform for a live audience.
This Saturday’s begins at 7 p.m. at the Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse. A $10 donation is suggested.
