Reynolds, Rappaport, Kaplan & Hackney, LLC law firm in Edgartown has named attorneys Kathryn R. Ham and Karen D. Burke as directors of the firm.

Ms. Ham served as partner of the firm from 1993 to 2000, when she moved to Boston. Now a full-time resident of Edgartown, she has 28 years of experience in Massachusetts real estate and conservation law and is an appointed Land Court Examiner. In addition to her law practice, she serves as a Corporator of Martha’s Vineyard Savings Bank, as a director of Featherstone Center for the Arts, as a trustee of Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation, Inc. and as an overseer for the Vineyard Open Land Foundation. She received her undergraduate degree from Smith College and her law degree from Boston University in 1988.

Ms. Burke moved to Martha’s Vineyard in 2001 and joined the firm as an associate in 2005. She has 12 years of experience in Massachusetts real estate law. She practiced litigation as an associate of Crowell & Moring, LLP, in Washington, DC, and served as a clerk for the Honorable James McGirr Kelly of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She received her law degree in 1995 from the George Washington University Law School, where she was a member of the George Washington Law Review and graduated with high honors.
