Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School senior Gavin Leuenberger has been recognized as the school’s outstanding vocational technical student of the year.

The 31st Annual Outstanding Vocational Technical Student Award, sponsored by the Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators and the Massachusetts Vocational Association, recognizes students who have contributed to their school district through their scholastic and vocational technical achievements.

Gavin will be honored alongside other student nominees at a statewide dinner on Thursday, April 13 in Worcester.

A three-year participant of the horticulture program, Gavin became interested in landscaping after a summer job at Vineyard Gardens. He plans to continue his studies at Northwestern Michigan College in the landscape management program.
