Four-year old Rottweiler Buddy is out on a trial run with an exceptional family. We all have our fingers crossed that things work out with their other dog and that he can stay. Another dog available for adoption is Sushi. She is seven and a really sweet girl that gets along well with children and cats. She’s a Carolina mutt, looks a bit like a shepherd mix, and would be considered a big dog. She may have some Catahoula leopard dog in her mix. Sushi would be happiest in a home with someone that can spend plenty of time with her and take her along on errands. This is a very sweet dog that deserves a good home.

Two cats are currently in the cat room. Licorice is a young black female with nary a white hair. She seems a bit shy but adores attention and will definitely make an appearance if you stop petting her. If you’re looking for a lap cat this is your girl. She even plays gently. Sweetie is a two-year-old calico who loves to play. She is pearl gray with some pale orange markings that match her lovely golden eyes. Sweetie, we believe, might prefer to be an only cat. Stop by and see if one of these ladies is the one to fulfill that void in your life.

Lobby cat Chaps is still here as well. He’s an 11-year-old and very mellow. He’s white with striking black markings. A warm bed and some affection are all he wants. If a special relationship should form with Chaps we might allow him to leave us for a new forever home.

Thank you to the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s spay/neuter wagon. While here on Wednesday, April 19 they spayed or neutered 16 cats and three dogs. Their last visit of the season will be in May so please contact your local animal control officer if you would like to have a cat or dog spayed or neutered at that time.
