Sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Captain Robert E. Kinnecom, who passed away on Saturday at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. He was a man of many talents whom I met when he was a mere teenager while he served at Coast Guard Station Gay Head and I was a mere toddler. Our paths would cross again years later while we shared many family gatherings. Bob and his wife Ernestine (Rose) were gracious hosts, especially on Christmas Eve, when we enjoyed their holiday party for decades. We shared the enjoyment of family history and genealogy and the legacy he left for his family by documenting his research. His services will be held on April 27. He will be greatly missed.

Sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Antone T. Silvia, son of Kenneth Silvia and Brenda Williston, and grandson of Bertha Williston, who passed away at home on April 23. He was the grandson of the late Gilbert and Barbara (Francis) Silvia and Bob Williston. Services for Antone will be held on Thursday, May 4 at the Agricultural Hall in West Tisbury at 10 a.m. followed by a gathering at the Portuguese American Club in Oak Bluffs at noon.
