An Oak Bluffs man was arrested this week and has been held on $50,000 bail after being charged with possessing child pornography.

Joshua L. Rogers, 29, was arraigned on Thursday in Edgartown district court on a charge of possessing child pornography, second offense that dates to Feb. 10.

According to court documents, the arrest stemmed from a cyber tipline report from a trooper with the Massachusetts Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. State police detectives from the Cape and Islands unit arrested Mr. Rogers on Wednesday. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for June 9.

In August 2013 Mr. Rogers pleaded guilty to child pornography possession charges and was sentenced to 18 months in a house of correction and placed on probation for four years.
