A perfect match has been made again. An elder gentleman was looking for a lap cat, and of course he found her here waiting for him. Our gentle black girl Licorice, the lap cat, was just what he was looking for. And Sweetie’s new owner took the old man Chet home with her as well. Thank you for being an angel.

Available for adoption is year-old mamma cat Seven. Her three Manx kittens will be ready to go to their new homes in three weeks, then Seven will be spayed and ready to go to a forever home. She’s a very friendly cat who loves to be with people. This girl loves getting pet, being held and purring. She has very pretty gray tabby markings with a bit of calico mixed in. Seven has become popular with the staff and volunteers due to her lovely disposition.

Our other resident is lobby cat Chaps, the 11-year-old with striking white and black markings. He’s a mellow fellow who is comfortable around dogs and other cats, and just needs a cozy place to nap. Chaps has a forever home here at the shelter, but if someone happened to form a special relationship with him we might be persuaded to let him leave.

We’d like to thank everyone that attended pink and green weekend in Edgartown with their dogs. It was a wonderful day filled with fun, lots of great pink and green outfits on people and pets alike. A special thank you to Rosewater for sponsoring the kissing booth that was built by Maxwell Celeste and painted by Katy Decker. Please mark your calendars for our annual Garden Party on June 26.
