Is anyone hankering for a young female tabby cat? Holly is only four and quite shy. She came to us from an unstable home situation and is still unsure about what has happened to her. She will need a family willing to be patient with her, but we do believe that once she feels confident with her new family her sweet personality will come out. Is there an angel out there for Holly?
Our resident lobby cat is 12-year old Chaps. He’s mostly white with some black marking on his body and very striking black markings on his face. He’s a wonderful, mellow boy who is comfortable with dogs, cats and people. All he needs is a little affection and a comfy bed. Although he has a home here if someone should fall in love with him we would be willing to let him go.
The shelter is inviting all dog owners to come march with us in the Edgartown Fourth of July parade. Marchers should meet at the school parking lot at 4:30 p.m. Please contact the shelter for more details.
Lastly, don’t forget about our annual garden party on July 26 in Edgartown. Please contact the shelter for more details. We are still accepting jewelry donations for the sale that will take place at the party. Costume jewelry, gold, silver, precious and non-precious gems or even broken or damaged pieces will be accepted. Please drop them off at the shelter during regular business hours.
Shelter hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The shelter is closed Sunday and Monday. The telephone number is 508-627-8662.
