Combustion will power both the entertainment and the catering at the third annual Father’s Day Car-B-Q Classic this Sunday, June 18.

The event begins at 10:30 a.m. with a car procession that starts at Bend in the Road Beach, parades through Edgartown along Main street, and culminates at the Harbor View Hotel.

Beginning at 11 a.m. at the hotel, automobile enthusiasts (and those along for the ride) can meander through the vehicles, which will be arranged on the lawn in a chevron-style lineup. Attendees can also fuel up with a barbecue lunch.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three cars as determined by a popular vote open to all attendees. Registrants will determine the winner of an additional prize, best in show.

Classic cars and contemporary alike are welcome to register. Pre-registration is available online; registration will be open the day of the event as well.

The event will also feature a raffle with prizes including a charter fishing trip with the MV Skipper and kayak rentals from Island Spirit Kayak. Proceeds raised from entry fees and the raffle will benefit the MV Fallen Firefighters Fund.

Vehicle registration is $35. Attendance is free.
