The Martha’s Vineyard Museum’s annual Evening of Discovery gala takes place on Saturday, July 1 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Marine Hospital in Vineyard Haven, 151 Lagoon Pond Road.

This will be the last gala before the museum’s big move next year from Edgartown, and so it is an opportunity to view the space as a blank canvas and envision what it will look like in the future — which is actually the theme of the evening. Guests are invited to look 100 years into the future to imagine what the Island and the world will be like then. Everyone is encouraged to dress in whatever apparel/outfit they think will be popular in 2117.
