WMVY is teaming up with Club Passim in Cambridge for a joint benefit concert featuring Martin Sexton on Friday, Aug. 4 at the Old Whaling Church. Isaac Taylor opens for Mr. Sexton.

Club Passim was established in 1958 and has been an essential venue during the folk scene of the 60s and 70s and on through to today. The club also has a long history with WMVY, sharing both a musical aesthetic and a desire to remain independent of the commercial flavors of the day. It became a nonprofit in 1994.

Tickets to the show are $50, with premium seating and a VIP reception for $100, and are on sale at ticketsmv.com. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and will benefit both Club Passim and Friends of MVY radio.
