Chilmark Preschool has named Ursula Costin, a master educator from off-Island with more than 25 years of teaching experience, as the school’s new director.

Ms. Costin earned a bachelor’s degree from Roger Williams College, a master’s degree in early childhood education from Bank Street College of Education, and completed work in the PsyD program in school psychology at New York University. She has years of teaching and director experience, according to a press release, and a Reggio Emilia-based student-centered philosophy that aligns well with Chilmark preschool.

Previous preschool director Heather Quinn left last year to become early childhood director at Community Services.
