As suspected the adorable Bichon Frise, Ty, was snapped up after only one night at the shelter. We’re sure he and his new family will have many years together.

Our newest resident is a 15-week-old long haired, pewter gray kitten with stunning green eyes. His name is Fred and he’s still a little on the shy side, but he loves being held and is starting to express his contentment with a lovely purr. We believe this boy will turn out to be a snuggle kitty so if you’re in the market for a love muffin come and meet him.

The shelter also has two sweet young female cats waiting for their new forever homes. They are a mother and daughter, and both are very pretty. Snow is the mother. She is only three, mostly white with a black ringed tail, blue eyes, and some pale tabby markings on her head and legs. We’ve been told she also has some Siamese in her. Her daughter Fran is only a year old. She is a little bigger than her mom, and is a black and gray tabby with lots of white and light green eyes. Both are affectionate, playful and need to have someone to share their love with. Come meet them and find out if that could that be you.

White and black Chaps is our shelter cat. We’re more than happy to have him stay with us but if someone wants to give him a forever home we’d be willing to let him leave for a better life.

The Animal Rescue League of Boston’s spay/neuter wagon will be visiting the shelter on Sept. 13 but has reached capacity fort this visit. They will be here again in October and November so please contact your local animal control officer for more information if you have a pet you would like to have spayed or neutered.
