The 27th annual Martha’s Vineyard CROP Walk begins at 2 p.m. on Oct.15 at St. Augustine’s Church in Vineyard Haven, with registration starting at 1:15 p.m.

The route stretches from St. Augustine’s Church to Trinity Church in Oak Bluffs and back. But all walkers are only expected to take as many steps as they can handle. After all, this is not a competition. It is walking for a cause. Each year, CROP Walks around the world raise money to benefit global and local efforts to fight hunger. The goal of this year’s Vineyard march, which is in honor of Armen Hanjian’s tireless work to fight hunger, is to raise $25,000.

Walk, cheer, donate, everyone is invited.

St. Augustine’s Church is located at 56 Franklin street, Vineyard Haven. Visit crophungerwalk.org to register or call 508-693-7240 for more information.
