If watching live opera is in the blood, and the lungs, but the venues feel too far away from the Island, then you are in luck as the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center is hosting The Met Live, a series that broadcasts live performances from the Metropolitan Opera. In all there will be 10 live performances to watch, broadcast all over the world, including here in Vineyard Haven.

The series began last week with a new production of Bellini’s Norma. This week, on Saturday, Oct. 14 beginning at 12:55 p.m., watch Mozart’s Magic Flute (Die Zauberflüte). Stay tuned for future broadcasts throughout the year.
