Last week was a big adoption week. Mr. Whiskers and Ragnar were adopted together, which made them both quite happy. And their new family is thrilled as well. The lovely Mittens found her forever home, as did young Siamese girl Cardi. Best wishes to all for many happy years together.

Our current cat room residents are a couple of lovely older ladies. Fanny is all black with green eyes, and over the age of 10. She’s very sweet and affectionate, and still enjoys playing. She’s looking for someone to shower with her love. Faith is in her dotage and only needs someplace cozy with some good eats. She’s a very pretty orange calico with a long coat. She enjoys being pet and will purr away. Is there an angel out there for her to spend her remaining lives with?

We’re still awaiting the arrival of Girl’s kittens, which are due any moment. Once the babies are weaned Girl will be spayed and hopes to find her new forever home. She is a totally black bobtail with a shiny coat and beautiful green eyes. And she has a very pretty face. She is also getting more affectionate and loves attention. If interested please come in and meet her, you could provide some love during her pregnancy.

And our white and black shelter cat Chaps is still happily with us. He’s a gentle soul with striking markings who only needs some love, good eats and a comfy place to nap now that he’s twelve. We’re happy to let him live out the rest of his nine lives here but if someone wants to give him a forever home we would be happy to see that happen for him.

And of course a big thank you to Dr. Quimby of the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s spay/neuter wagon, and his technicians. While at the shelter on Wednesday, Oct. 11 they spayed or neutered five dogs and 15 cats. They will be here again on Nov. 8. Please contact your local animal control officer for more information if you have a pet you would like to have spayed or neutered.
