Veterans Day celebrations this year will feature some changes. Due to the forecast of cold weather, the parade on Saturday, Nov. 11, has been switched to an indoor ceremony at the Oak Bluffs School Gym. The event begins at 11 a.m.

The installation of the Avenue of the Flags at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Vineyard Haven will continue as planned, with the flags going up at 7:30 a.m. and remaining in place until 3 p.m.

The other change is the visit to veterans at Windemere. Because the holiday falls on a Saturday, this visit will be switched to Friday, Nov. 10. The visit begins at 10:30 a.m.
