Another drizzly, cold, blustery week of weather. The sun is out Tuesday morning as I pen this column. It is expected to be sunny toward the end of the week. Great for travel plans for many.

The Aquinnah Public Library will be closed on Thursday in observance of Thanksgiving Day. On Saturday, Nov. 25 at 10:30 a.m. is story time and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. the kids craft will feature making leaf wreaths. On Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. there will be an acrylic landscape painting workshop.
On Friday, Nov. 24, the YMCA of MV will host the eighth annual Turkey Burner Open House. The YMCA will be free and open to all to burn off those Thanksgiving calories.
Joan Lelacheur will have an open studio at her home on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. this weekend, featuring her wampum jewelry and mosaic tiles Her address is 42 Old South Road in Aquinnah.
On Saturday, Nov. 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will be a holiday vendor event at the P.A. Club on Vineyard avenue in Oak Bluffs. Many local vendors selling their holiday wares and other hand made items.
Jemima James will return this week from a brief trip to visit her niece in Spain. Upon her return, she will do the Vineyard shuffle and move from her Aquinnah abode for the winter.
Noah James Manning returned home on Sunday afternoon after spending the weekend as the guest of the Macey family — John, Amy and Zach. On Friday, Noah attended classes with Zach at the Hopkins School. On Saturday, they attended the Yale-Harvard football game where Yale won.
It was a wonderful relaxing weekend for all. Of course, Noah was accompanied by his parents Paul and Theresa.
