Edgartown selectmen approved a new utility pole and made appointments at a brief meeting Tuesday.

Selectmen approved 53 feet of conduit from an existing pole at 108 Pease’s Point Way North after Eversource representatives sorted out concerns with an abutter. A proposed new 35-foot pole at Pease’s Point Way South has been taken off the agenda while Eversource works with abutters to respond to concerns.

In other business, James Joyce was appointed to continue serving as the town’s representative to the Martha’s Vineyard Commission, and Jane Chittick was appointed to the finance committee.

Selectmen also approved a request from Lucky Hank’s Restaurant to close from Jan. 25 to Feb. 26 for annual cleaning and maintenance.
