January has been a very good month for adoptions so far. Both dogs, Max the yellow lab and Hamilton the hound mix, have had their adoptions finalized. Kitties Abigail and Noel left for their new home together, and someone came in and scooped up gray snuggle kitty Daisy. Wishing everyone many years of happiness together.

There is a six to seven year old female Plott Hound mix looking for a new forever home. Her owner unexpectedly passed away and left her in need of a new home. Her name is Dewey, she has brindle coloring, and gets along with both cats and dogs. She is currently in a foster home so please contact the shelter if you would like to meet Dewey.

We have a new arrival. Winter is a nine month to one-year-old green-eyed gray and white tuxedo female that came from a colony that a gentleman abandoned. She is a bit on the shy side but is already coming out of her shell. She’s coming to the front of the cage seeking attention, and has started purring. Stop by to meet her and, maybe, fall in love? And she can use the socialization.

Is anyone looking for a honey bunny? If you are we have a honey of a bunny here at the shelter looking for a forever home. Mel is a year-old neutered male that is white with brindle ears and eyes. And one of those ears is up while the other flops down, very cute. He’s also very friendly and enjoys petting. Mel would make a great honey bunny.
