Christopher Scott of Edgartown is the newest member of the board of directors at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, the hospital said this week.

Formerly the longtime executive director of the Martha’s Vineyard Preservation Trust, Mr. Scott retired last year. He has long been active on other nonprofit boards and in Edgartown civic affairs.

The hospital board of directors voted to elect Mr. Scott at its Jan. 26 meeting, a press release said.
