Regional high school sophomore Vito Aiello has been nominated to participate in the Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders, a program for top students who aspire to science and technology careers.

The event takes place June 29 to July 1 in Lowell. Vito was nominated by Dr. John C. Mather, winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics and Science Director of the National Academy of Future Scientists and Technologists.

Vito was nominated based on his academic achievement, leadership potential and passion for science and technology, according to a press release. He will join students from across the country to hear Nobel Laureates and others talk about scientific research and learn about cutting-edge technology.
