The Tisbury annual town meeting reconvened for a second night Wednesday with tensions running high over the $46.6 million school question.

More than 300 voters filed into the school gymnasium and the meeting got underway a short time after 7 p.m.

Debate began on the school on Tuesday night, the opening night for town meeting, revealing a deeply divided town.

Debate continued Wednesday as proponent and opponents of the school article squared off.

Moderator Deborah Medders presided, making it clear that she intended to move the meeting along.

"If you have a question, pose it, do not plan to get into a Q & A. We do not have time for that," she said.

For a second night running, long lines formed at all the mics.
